Whenever I raised the subject of post-abortion syndrome–the mental and sometimes physical aftermath that women typically suffer after having an abortion–the abortionistas responded one of two ways:

• Denial: that this is a concoction of the Religious Right, and that it really is not worth debating
• Reverse blame: sure it exists, but only because the Religious Right has made women feel guilty about “terminating a pregnancy”.

Tell that to those atheists in Japan.
