11/12/2005: Where is the mainstream news media covering stories like this?

This is why I trust CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, the Miami Herald, the Los Angeles Times, etc. as far as I can urinate. Not that I’ve measured this, but that is probably about 6 feet.

Fact is, these [substitute plural expletive here] WANT America to lose. Another Vietnam will give Maureen Dowd the [substitute technical term for ecstasy here] of her life. They love it when our men and women die. Frank Rich and Paul Krugman root for Zarqawi. Pinch Sulzburger roots for bin Laden. In fact, they can’t wait for a nuclear attack on America. Pinch Sulzberger–the top snake at the New York Times–rooted against our troops during Vietnam. Nothing has changed between then and now.

Right now, the only mainstream media source that seems to be reporting the war objectively is the Wall Street Journal. Otherwise, you are stuck with relying on the blogosphere. Toward that end, BlackFive and Michael Yon are a collective Godsend.
