I also saw an Obama spokesperson praise Mao Zedong in one of their speeches. Simply unbelievable. That is like putting ornaments of Adolf Hitler up on your tree, and having one of your spokesmen praise Adolf Hitler in one of their speeches. I hope people remember this kind of a thing when they go to the polls in 2010 and 2012. Can you imagine anyone getting elected if they said, “One of my political heroes is Adolf Hitler.”? The White House is doing something very similar here.

I hope you are right, and that people will remember these shenanigans when they go to the polls in 2010.
I am old enough to remember Reagan’s Cold War victory–he brought down the Evil Empire, in large part by playing up the strength and moral force of American freedom against the murderous backdrop of communism–and find it a freaking outrage that Obama would countenance such suckuppery with Mao, given that he is one of the worst mass murderers of all time.
